On Sunday, June 22nd, our parish joined together with the Pennfield Parish at Covert Hall for 'Messy Church'. This is a ministry that focuses on kid's and fellowship with crafts, songs, games and a meal together as a church family.
The Grand Manan Parish provided a cheque to Rev. Caleb Twinamatsiko for his charity, Kigando Community Support for the Elderly (KCSE). We were treated to a toe-tapping sing-along led by the Pennfield Parish Worship Band and both parishes were entirely entertained by our community drama theater's presentation of "VeggieTales: Daniel and the Lions Den." Great job to everyone involved!
We followed all this with an amazing meal featuring African and Canadian dishes made by Robbie Griffin.
Having the opportunity to join together in fellowship and combine our talents to praise God is an absolute highlight in our calendars. It is always a blessing to see parishes come together as families and enjoying their time together.
